The company NEOKLAS a.s. , established in 1995, is located in picturesque South-Moravian village Šardice, 11 km south-west of town Kyjov.
Under the brand "Augustinian cellar" it represents a series of wines. It continues in the long-time tradition of Augustinian monks order from Brno, who acted in the village in local baroque residence from 1742 in old days. They were one of the first who set vineyards to grow and started with production of wine varieties. Their strong belief that location in the very heart of Slovácko region with suitable land and climatic conditions would be a prerequisite for growing first-quality wines, was vindicated. Vineyard lanes, such as Dubový - Červenice, Kameny, Hejdy has always belonged to the best.
The company extended its scope of activity into the land area of villages Dambořice, Nenkovice, Stavěšice, Nechvalín, Sobůlky, Strážovice, Josefov near Hodonín, Dolní Bojanovice, Mutěnice, Pavlov near Dolní Věstonice with total area of 345 hectars, it farms it and focuses on production of the first-quality variety wines and classic sparkling wines by the most modern technology, such as careful pressing in the air-operated presses, reductive technology of the controlled fermentation for white wines, production in vinificators for red wines and storing under ideal conditions.
The wine-making company produces a wide range of quality variety wines and wines with attributes from traditional varieties, for which local vineyard setting seems to be optimal, particularly Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Moravian Muscat, Blauer Portigieser, Saint Laurent, Lemberger, followed by Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger, Müller Thurgau, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Gewurztraminer, Zweigeltrebe, André, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Neronet and Pinot Noir.
We also offer a rich assortment of archive wines for lovers of the aged wines. These wines are aging in archive cellars of Šardice residence of Augustinian cloister, founded in 1742.
The company expanded by purchasing the company Vinný sklep Sovín spol. s r.o. in 2012. Wine has been grown on hillsides of Chřiby under majestic castle Buchlov for more than 6 centuries. Sovín vineyards belong to the northest locations in Moravian wine-growing region in the land area of villages Újezdec near Osvětimany, Osvětimany, Boršice near Buchlovice and Ořechov near Uherské Hradiště. These wines are characteristic by fine bouquet, fullness, typical acidity, unmistakeable character.
